Dilbert Creator's Racist Comments Lead to Backlash and Newspaper Cancellations

Scott Adams, the creator of the popular Dilbert comic strip, is facing severe backlash after making racist comments on his YouTube show, "Real Coffee with Scott Adams". His comments were based on a misinterpretation of a survey and targeted the Black community, calling them a hate group and expressing his desire to have nothing to do with them.

The outrage following Adams' comments has been significant, with many people taking to social media to condemn his remarks. The actress Marsha Warfield shared the clip on her Twitter account, stating that "nothing is racist to a racist."

The backlash has led to consequences for Adams' work. Gannett, the publisher of USA Today and numerous local media outlets, announced that it would no longer publish Dilbert due to Adams' "discriminatory comments". The Cleveland Plain Dealer also canceled the comic strip, citing their unwillingness to support those who espouse racist views.

This incident is a reminder that harmful beliefs can be held by anyone, even those who create beloved cultural works. It also highlights the severe consequences that can result from espousing racist views, including financial and professional repercussions.
