Sacramento Kings Defeat Los Angeles Clippers in Second-Highest Scoring NBA Game in History

On Friday night, the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers played what turned out to be a historic NBA game. The Kings defeated the Clippers 176-175 in double overtime, setting a new franchise record for points in a game and combining for the second-highest scoring game in NBA history with a total of 351 points.

The game seemed to be in the Clippers' hands when they led 147-136 with just 2:46 remaining in the fourth quarter. However, De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk kept the Kings in the game, with Monk hitting a 25-foot jump shot to tie the game and force overtime.

In both overtime periods, Fox and Monk continued their hot shooting, combining for 19 points and securing a massive victory for the Kings. Fox and Monk finished the game with a staggering 87 points combined, while Kawhi Leonard and Paul George combined for 78 points.

Russell Westbrook, in his debut for the Clippers, contributed 17 points, 14 assists, and 5 rebounds before fouling out in double overtime.

Before the game, the Kings were the third seed in the Western Conference, while the Clippers held the fourth seed. However, the Kings' victory saw them move 1.5 games ahead of the new fourth seed, the Phoenix Suns.

The two teams will face each other one last time on March 3 in Sacramento, but Friday night's game will undoubtedly go down as one of the most memorable in NBA history.
