Latto Discusses Her Feud With Nicki Minaj: "It's Disheartening"

In a recent interview with Billboard, Latto opened up about her highly-publicized Twitter feud with Nicki Minaj. The 777 rapper revealed her true feelings about the intense exchange of words between her and the seasoned artist whom she once looked up to.

Latto explained how challenging it was to navigate through the situation due to a disconnect between her and Minaj, stating that "It's disappointing. 

Their Twitter spat started when Minaj criticized the Recording Academy's decision to place her song "Super Freaky Girl" in the Pop category instead of Rap. She declared that if her single was considered Pop, then Latto's "Big Energy" must also be viewed as Pop. This led to a heated debate on their timelines.

Despite being a fan of Minaj while growing up, Latto did not hold back from calling her a "super freaky grandma" who is married to a sexual predator. Nicki retaliated by calling Latto "an entitled Karen" who allegedly mentioned her in over 100 interviews.

Since then, the two artists have not spoken, especially after Latto received a Grammy nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance while Nicki was not recognized. However, both have moved on to focus on their new music. Latto has released her new pop record "Lottery," while Minaj is set to drop her new single "Red Ruby Da Sleaze" on Friday.
