Urgent Search for Missing Baby Continues as Couple Arrested for Child Neglect in Sussex

A desperate search is underway in Sussex for a missing baby who disappeared in January. The search has been intensified after a couple, Constance Marten and Mark Gordon, suspected of child neglect, were arrested in Brighton. The couple had been on the run, evading police for several weeks, travelling across England by taxi and using camping equipment to live off-grid.

Despite the arrests of Marten and Gordon, the baby remains missing, and police are using all available resources, including helicopters, drones, and police dogs, to search the Sussex Downs area. Detectives are now appealing to the public for any information that may lead to the discovery of the missing infant. To help incentivize the search, a £10,000 reward has been offered.

Marten, who comes from a wealthy family and enjoyed a privileged upbringing, met Gordon, a convicted sex offender, and became estranged from her family.

The couple were last seen in January, disappearing with the days-old baby and reportedly carrying a large amount of cash.

The police are concerned about the baby's welfare, fearing that the infant may have been exposed to the elements during its time missing. The public's help is vital to locate Marten and Gordon and hopefully reunite the missing baby with its family.
